Burgess Hill’s Town Crier Neil Batsford has plenty to shout about after his term of office was extended for another four years until May 2017.
Chris Thomas-Atkin, chairman of Burgess Hill Town Council and Town Mayor, said: “As a town, Burgess Hill is very lucky to have such a talented individual as Neil in the role of Town Crier.
“He is an excellent ambassador for the community and it is a pleasure to know that we can continue to see him around the town cutting a dash in his scarlet robes, announcing events in fine style.”
