Plumpton race meeting abandoned following heavy rain
Plumpton Racecourse has abandoned its race meeting tomorrow (Monday January 28) due to waterlogging.
A notice on the racecourse’s website says: “We are very disappointed that racing isn’t going ahead.
“We have had 32mm of rain since Friday night following a thaw of three to four inches of snow, and the course is waterlogged.
“Unfortunately there is not sufficient time to enable conditions to improve enough for us to be raceable for the 28th January racemeeting.
“Racegoers who had pre-purchased tickets online will get a full refund.”
