Police donation for Hastings charity

The Education Futures Trust was given £250 from the Police Property Act Fund after police community support officer (PCSO) Faye Spires’ nomination.

This will go towards its Cook Together, Eat Together workshop which invites older residents to prepare and cook a meal together as a group, followed by activities such as crafts, games and discussions.

These workshops are aimed at elderly people with a focus on reducing loneliness and social isolation, as well as building resilience.

The charity’s chief executive Carole Dixon said: “We are delighted to receive the donation to support our work.

“At times of real hardship, we would like to work closely with local residents to reduce their isolation.

“We really do appreciate the support for the bid from our PCSO Faye Spires.”
