Powerchair gives teenager independence
A Warden Park student with leukaemia has been given a powerchair and a new found independence.
Digby Davidson, 14, was donated the chair by Hexagon Healthcare and TGA Mobility showroom in Surrey.
Roseanne Horner, 30, showroom manager of Hexagon Healthcare and partner Shaun Finch, 38, TGA Mobility Areas sales representative, provide professional advice and quality mobility products to local people everyday.
Roseanne has known the Davidson family personally for over 10 years.
Roseanne said: “All the Davidson family are truly remarkable. I not only admire Digby’s determination and resilience, but his parents Hermione and Fergus and his brother and sister’s positive attitude is simply amazing. ”
After seeing Digby struggling in his manual help the couple asked the Davidsons if they could help.
Shaun said: “We contacted Daniel Stone, the managing director of our parent company TGA Mobility to see if he could help and we were delighted to discover there was a powerchair that could be donated to help Digby.
“Well, on receipt of his new powerchair Digby was completely over the moon.”
