Restoration man gives timber frame talk

His talk ‘Who would want to live in a house like this’ includes audience participation. A member of the Institute of Archaeology, University of London, David appeared in the Channel 4 series of The Restoration Man while he and his wife Barbara published ‘Farm Buildings of the Weald 1450 -1750’, a study of a region once dominated by small farms, in 2006 after 25 years’ research. David won the Sussex Heritage Person of the Year.

Visitors welcome, entrance £3 with refreshments. The society’s events are on the last Tuesday each month.

David Martin, an expert on timber frame and old buildings in South East England, will speak at Danehill Parish Historical Society’s meeting on March 26 at 8pm at Danehill Village Hall.
