THE bad weather has forced road closures in Portsmouth.

Roads in Copnor and along Southsea seafront were closed off after heavy rain caused flooding, although the city council says Copnor Road has now been reopened,

A council spokesman said:‘Roads on Southsea seafront remain closed and with strong winds and extremely high tides anticipated residents are advised to avoid the area for their own safety.’

Anyone needing to report issues regarding the weather should call the council on 023 9283 4092 during office hours, or outside of hours contact Colas on 023 9231 0900.
