Roads close in Portsmouth after heavy rain

THE bad weather has forced road closures in Portsmouth.

Roads in Copnor and along Southsea seafront were closed off after heavy rain caused flooding, although the city council says Copnor Road has now been reopened,

A council spokesman said:‘Roads on Southsea seafront remain closed and with strong winds and extremely high tides anticipated residents are advised to avoid the area for their own safety.’
