Rocket Ronnie set for snooker showdown

World-class snooker is coming to Olympos Haywards Heath on September 6.

Olympos Haywards Heath is to host the first matches of the 2007 Premier League Snooker event.

World number one and current world champion John Higgins, reigning Premier League Champion Ronnie O'Sullivan, people's favourite Jimmy White and young Chinese sensation Ding Junhui, will all be on show.

The Premier League Snooker Tournament is the only snooker competition in the world to use a league format. Seven of the best players in the world will gather to face each other over the green baize.

League matches take place at venues across the country with each player meeting only once. Players are allocated two points for a win and one for draw, with the top four players in the league progressing to the knockout stages of the competition, where one player will be crowned Premier League Snooker Champion.

For more information contact Olympos Haywards Heath directly on 01444 457337 or visit the website

The Mid Sussex Times is offering ten pairs of VIP tickets to the event. See this week's paper for full details.
