Staff at Sainsbury’s in Haywards Heath are wearing Christmas jumpers to raise money for their customers’ chosen charity - the Sussex Air Ambulance.

Some of the staff at the Bannister Way supermarket are pictured above donning their best festive knitwear to celebrate the Christmas season and to encourage visitors to the store to donate to the worthy cause.

The Sainsbury’s team and customers have been holding charity events throughout the year and have raised hundreds of pounds for the air ambulance.

They are supporting the helicopter service, which has now also just begun operating at night, for the second year running after being chosen by shoppers.
