AN EAST Sussex youngster staring in the new series of a popular Disney Channel TV programme.
Oscar Lloyd from Seaford returns to the screen with Oscar and Michael's Phineas and Ferb Fan Club Show.
The programme attracts audiences of more than 2 million children.
Oscar, aged 11, joins original cast member Michael Selwood in the series, which also stars Max Hiller.
The show is based on the lead characters' real-life love for all things Phineas and Ferb.
Just like their animated heroes, Oscar and Michael set out to solve the mundane everyday problems that most kids face, in a larger- than-life way.
Oscar said: 'I'm excited to be back for another series of Oscar and Michael's Phineas and Ferb Fan Club Show.
'I hope viewers have as much fun watching the show as we did making it.'
Oscar said: 'Ever since the age of six I've always wanted to act.
'After seeing people on TV I thought that would be fun and it's something I've always enjoyed doing.
'I've really enjoyed taking part in school plays and putting on productions at drama club, some of my most favourite productions include Roald Dahl's The Witches and Bugsy Malone.'
Oscar had already appeared in TV commercials, as well as an episode of the BBC's Lark Rise to Candleford. He hopes to continue working as an actor in the future.
He said: 'It's something I really enjoy and it would be a dream come true. In ten years time, I'd like to still be performing to audiences, whether that be on stage, on TV or in a film.
'I like comedies but if I could play any character in any film, I'd love to play the Joker in a Batman film.
'I really look up to actors like Robin Williams – I think he's great at what he does.'
But what do his school friends think of his television successes?
'My school friends think it's really cool and they like to watch me on TV,' he said. 'They're always asking me when I'm next going to be on TV so they can look out for me.
'They're always really supportive and encourage me to do well.'
The second series of Oscar and Michael's Phineas and Ferb Fan Club Show will launch on Friday April 10 at 10am and Saturday April 11 at 9.55am on the Disney Channel.
