Police are appealing for help to find a 14-year-old schoolgirl from Uckfield who has gone missing.

Chloe Newman was last seen for certain getting into a black car at Haywards Heath railway station at 2.50pm on Tuesday January 7.

Several people have said they think they may have seen her since then but none of them have been confirmed.

When Chloe went missing she was wearing a pink hooded jacket with a black sleeveless jacket, black trousers, blue Vans and large curtain ring earrings. She is slim and had her long blonde hair up in a ponytail.

Inspector Philip Hogan said: “Chloe has gone missing before but never for this length of time. There is nothing to suggest she is at risk or in any danger but she is vulnerable because of her age. We need to find her to see how she is.

“We believe she could be in Newhaven, Lewes or the surrounding area where we believe she has some friends.

“If you know where Chloe is please get in touch with us. If you speak to her, please ask her to contact us.”

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting serial 842 of 7/1 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk.
