SINGER ANNA Taylor is hoping to cross the Atlantic to create a CD of songs.

Anna, from Brookway, Lindfield, was born with cerebral palsy and needs crutches and a wheelchair to get around.

So far she has only ever spoken to professional music producer Robert Berry once on the phone.

All their other communications over the past year have been by email.

Yet, the eight hour time difference between Sussex and the Californian West Coast has not stopped Anna and Robert collaborating to produce enough of Anna's songs to enable them to record a CD.

The 28-year-old now want to go to the US to record her music in Robert's San Jose studios and is appealing for individuals and companies to sponsor songs on the CD in return for acknowledgements in the CD booklet.

Anna has created what she calls a Wall of Love with 111 hearts where for approximately one hundred and eleven US dollars, or about 70, they can scribe their initials. She is inviting businesses to sponsor her for the larger amounts of between five hundred and one thousand US dollars ( or about 650).

Anna said she needs about 5,000 in addition to her own savings to make the trip possible and to cover the production costs.

If her project succeeds she says she want to travel the world singing her songs and letting people know that being different and facing uphill challenges as she has need not stop someone fulfilling their dreams.
