Sir Bob Geldolf and the Boomtown Rats staged a surprise concert at Turners Hill, near Haywards Heath.
Staff and zombies at the Tulleys farm Shocktober Fest Scream Park watched as the band rehearsed for its 17-day UK tour on the WoodShockLIVE music stage.
Sir Bob said: “It’s a lot better here than where we normally rehearse. It’s a bonus having the stage and being able to run through the set as much as we want.”
Tulleys Farm owner Stuart Beare said after Thursday’s gig: “I love the Boomtown Rats and it’s great to be able to help the Rats out with rehearsal space.”
Shocktober Fest is an annual Halloween Festival run by the farm.
