Special kind of cast helps cancer victims

Special needs actors and actresses in an award-winning group had a serious purpose when they staged a funny pantomime.
The Ariel Drama Academies Othello’s Special needs drama group put on their show Cinderella to raise money for the Macmillan cancer charity.
It ran for two nightsand raised more than £2,200 on the two nights.
Nicci Hopson, director, said: “It is an incredible amount of money and will go a long way to help us achieve our target.”
The group that meets every Tuesday evening at the QE2 School in Horsham, under the tuition of Sue Jay.

Ariel currently holds the Lady Diana Award of excellence for their work with Special needs children and young adults.
