A star studded lineup will attend a community day in Haywards Heath to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Alejandro Fernandez-Holt, formerly of X Factor, will sing at The Orchards Shopping Centre at the start of One Great Day, which will be officially opened by Brian Capron of Coronation Street and town mayor Sandy Ellis at 10am on June 7.

The day will feature a bucking bronco competition courtesy of Solum Regneration, a giant sculpted game called BuzzWire created by local artist Paul Badham, Zumba, Strictly Fitsteps and fitness classes whilst local RokSkool and Pom Pom girls will be there to entertain.

Nicola Bird, manager at The Orchards, said: “Please come and do your bit for both the hospital and the town.

“It’s just a brilliant way to bring our whole community together and have a great deal of fun.”

Since 1852, when it opened with just ten beds, Great Ormond Street Hospital has been providing care for children from across the UK.

Nicola continued: “Everyone has been so generous in supporting this to make it a really memorable day and, more importantly, to play a part in providing care for future generations.

“It really is going to be a great day,” she added.
