Store in The Orchards shutting up shop
Thorntons in the Orchards is closing
Thorntons will be shutting its doors for the final time in April.
The lease for the store in The Orchards runs out in March and it is understood by the Middy that the chocolate shop will not be renewing it meaning it will close just after Easter.
This will mean another empty shop in the Haywards Heath shopping centre which has seen shops such as Julian Graves shut down and the Post Office move to inside the Co-Op,
However, it is not all doom and gloom as Marks and Spencer has recently renewed its commitment to stay in the town and over Christmas the stores saw an increase in spending.
The nearest available Thorntons are in Horsham and Crawley.
