Theme of Madhurst Festival announced

Imagine will be the theme of next year's mega music, arts and drama festival, Madhurst.

"It is with an overwhelming burst of excitement that we are pleased to announce the theme," said Madhurst planning committee chairman, Father Marcus Ronchetti.

"We are asking all those who are interested to let their imaginations run riot as they interpret this theme, and use it to stimulate the content of the music, arts and drama which will flow throughout the festival."

Organisers are making swift progress with the plans which already include ideas for concerts, street theatre, interactive sculpture, arts and photography displays and a whole range of workshops to enable people to build structures and costumes for the carnival, and to dress the site.

The next open planning meeting is at 8pm on Monday in Midhurst parish church.

"Everyone is more than welcome to attend, and to share in our dream. Can't wait to see you there," said Fr Marcus.

"We are, of course, looking for sponsors to help with the cost of this huge venture, so if that is something that interests you, then please get in touch."

Anyone who would like more information or to become a sponsor should contact Fr Marcus atmarcusronchetti@yahoo.co.uk or phone the Madhurst hotline 01730 813339.
