Police are appealing for witnesses after thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes and alcohol were stolen from a shop in Burgess Hill.
The Sid’s store in Station Road was broken into between 2.30am and 3.30am on Sunday (January 27).
Two thieves smashed their way into the shop and stole cigarettes, bottles of alcohol and a tower computer system.
Police have CCTV footage of one man they would like to speak to over the burglary.
The first thief was white, 6ft, slim and in his mid to late 30s. He was wearing a black Puffa-style jacket with hood, a baseball cap, dark trousers and white gloves.
The second thief was about 5ft 4in and slim. He was wearing dark clothing with the hood up and a pair of yellow gloves.
PC Mark Norman said: “The thieves stole a large amount of cigarettes and alcohol and may have had a vehicle to load the items into.
“I’d like to speak to anyone who saw or heard the burglary taking place or anyone acting suspiciously around Sid’s before the break-in.
“I’d also like to speak to anyone who sees cigarettes or alcohol being offered at a low price and which could have been stolen.”
