Two women were taken to hospital after a crash on the A23.

Three cars were involved on the northbound road near Pyecombe and the two casualties were taken to hospital.

Fire and rescue crews from Hurstpierpoint and Brighton responded to 999 calls just after 6.30 pm last night (Thursday, January 3).

None of the injured were trapped in the accident.
