A Ugandan children’s choir will perform an open air concert in Ditchling on Friday (May 23).

The free event featuring the Watoto choir is supported by The Mac’s Organic Free Range Egg Farm and will begin at 6.30pm on the village green behind St Margaret’s Church.

Danny Mac, from The Mac’s Farm, is helping on a egg farm project for Watoto who rescue abandoned children, give them a home, school and future.

Danny has been out to Uganda twice in the last nine months to help them run the farm, meet the kids and look after the 8000 hens they own.

Follow his blog on The Mac’s Farm Facebook page or on www.themacsfarm.co.uk.

The choir is staying for the weekend in the farm and in host homes around the village.

The Mac’s is also are offering parking on the farm to help as it is only a five or ten minute walk away.

Tea and homemade cakes will be on sale afterwards in the barn to help raise some extra money whilst the Watoto Auntie’s sell merchandise, CD’s and books as well as offering sponsorship for the children.
