UPDATE - Line now reopened between Haywards Heath and Brighton

Following emergency engineering works all lines between Haywards Heath and Brighton have now been reopened.

Earlier today (Tuesday, January 22) Southern and First Capital Connect reported delays on services travelling to Brighton due to a safety check between Hassocks and Preston Park.

One of the southbound lines was blocked meaning journeys were subject to alteration and cancellation.

All lines have now re-opened however some services may still be delayed by up to 20 minutes whilst the queues are cleared.
