David Sword, Director of Learning from West Sussex County Council visits Edward Rodriguez, New Head at Oathall School

WEST Sussex education chief David Sword had a special mission this week - to welcome Edward Rodriguez, who has just taken over from Jill Wilson as head teacher of Oathall Community College.

Mr Sword, who is director of learning at West Sussex County Council, enjoyed his visit to the flagship secondary school, which has many outstanding features, according to Ofsted inspectors.

The Haywards Heath based secondary school is famous for its farm, which is closely linked with the science curriculum.
