Young Enterprise companies from Mid Sussex broadcast their business ideas in Haywards Heath’s Orchards Shopping Centre on Saturday.

The would-be Gates, Golds and Sugars displayed eco shopping bags, clocks, chocolates, hair accessories and more when they set out their stalls on The Green at the heart of the shopping precinct.

Young Enterprise Companies are formed by school pupils, each having to create a real company to introduce them to the business world.

Team members take on roles such as managing director, finance director and sales and marketing director. They plan what products to sell, how to source and market them and how to balance the books, pay VAT and corporation tax and make a profit. Local business leaders act as mentors.
