Wall street collapse sparks alert

Emergency workers were called to a wall collapse in a Mid sussex village.

The wall was declared a dangerous structure after a fire and rescue crew from Burgess Hill were called to The Crescent at Hassocks.

There have been no reports of anyone being injured in the collapse of part of the wall.

The area was cordoned off for safety reasons and the fire crew removed fallen brickwork from the road.

The crew was called about 7.30 am this morning (wednesday).
