Water meters to be fitted in Haywards Heath homes

NEARLY 10,000 water meters will be fitted in homes across Haywards Heath this month.

The first areas to be targeted by South East Water’s Customer Metering Programme will be Ansty, Staplefield, Cuckfield, Slaugham and Twineham.

The company said the South East has been classed as an area of serious water stress, and the compulsory metering programme is an important part of the company’s long term plan to manage the future of water supplies for customers and the environment.
