Both fire engines, from Worthing fire station's Green Watch, had been called to the cement works, on the A283 Steyning Road, Upper Beeding, at 9.15pm last night (Monday, April 7).
Seven of the nine crew members were taken to Worthing Hospital for precautionary checks for whiplash injuries. All have now been discharged.
Standby crews from other stations were moved to Worthing overnight to provide cover, and the reserve engine has now also been moved to the station.
Eighty firefighters were called to the blaze, which broke out in a workshop at the old cement works site.
Crews were called from across the county and worked late into the night, amid fears the blaze could spread and ignite gas cylinders.
