Man’s jaw broken in Christmas day attack

A man’s jaw was broken after he was attacked on Christmas day.

Police said the 25-year-old, from East Grinstead, was struck in the face whilst walking along London Road, in East Grinstead, at around 3am.

A 23-year-old local man has been questioned in relation to the offence and enquiries are continuing.

Police have today (Thursday January 7) released an appeal for witnesses.

Anyone who saw what happened or may have other information about this incident is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 179 of 25/12.

Alternatively they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 (www.crimestoppers-uk.org).
