Man who died in Haywards Heath motorbike crash named by police

The man who died when his motorcycle crashed into a wall in Haywards Heath on Saturday (April 4) has been named as 33-year-old Joel Devalda.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Joel, who lived in Haywards Heath, was a serving police constable with the Metropolitan Police at Wandsworth in London.

“He was riding east in College Road towards Lindfield around 4pm when his Honda CBR is thought to have clipped the kerb before colliding with the wall. He died at the scene.”
