The Newick Market: will be open as usual on Friday morning from 10 to 11am in the Village Hall, good selection of locally grown vegetables and flowers, plus many homemade goodies to eat, you can also enjoy a coffee and meet up with friends.
Newick Bowls Club: fixture this Saturday is against Hurstpierpoint this will be played at Newick at commence at 2.30pm .Sunday is Ladies Day at the game will start at 2.30pmthis will be played at home.The evening s games this week are Tuesday Mid Sussex V St. Francis at Newick and John Spriggs v Linfield this is the away fixture and both games will start at 6pm . There will be a COFFEE MORNING at the Club House in Marble Road on Saturday 18th July, from 10 am till 12 mid-day., there will be cakes doe sale, plus a bric-a-bac sale and books stall, please try and support this coffee morning.
Newick Cricket CLUB: league games this Saturday are, 1st X1 are playing away at Seaford,whilst the 2nd X1 will be playing at home against Dicker 1, the 3rd X1 will be playing on the Temple Grove ground this match will be against Selmeston & Alciston and the 4th X1 will travel to Rye all of this games will commence at 1.30pm. The friendly game on Sunday is against Keymer & Hassocks this will be played at Newick on the King George V playing field.
Sunday Services: at St. Mary’s Church are 8am Holy Communion (BCP) followed at 10.30 with Holy Communion (CW)there will also be a 6.30pm Choral Eveningsong, everyone most welcome to attend.
Newick Cinema: has a problem there are not enough bums on seats when the Village Hall is open on Sunday evening to show films, to make this work they require at least 53 people to attend everytime, at present people attending are far less, so on Sunday 26th July the film will be “SECOND BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL”, why not purchase a ticket for £6 and enjoy this film, doors will be open from 7pm and the film commences at 7.30pm. it’s in everyone interest to make this cinema work, IF YOU DO NOT USE IT YOU CERTAINLY WILL LOSE IT, and that would be a great shame.
