Newick Country Market :will be open this Friday morning in the Village Hall from 10 to 11am, you can purchase locally grown vegetables, home made baked cakes and savoury items, fresh eggs, preserves, . There are some lovely handmade greetings cards, knitted items, flowers and plants., you can also enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. , you need to arrive early because many items sell out fast.

Services: this weekend at St. Mary’s Church are 8am Holy Communion, followed by Family Service at 9.30am, . there is also an Evening Prayer Service at 6.30pm.If you should require a lift to any of these services, please book in advance by telephoning 722 582.

The Annual Parochial Church Meeting: will take place on MONDAY 28th April in the Barn Centre at 7.30pm.

Newick Bonfire Society: are holding an AIR SOFT GAMES(similar to paint balling, but without paint) on SUNDAY 14TH APRIL from 9.30am at CRONK’S WOOD. (the top of Cinder Hill Chailey) entry £15 per player, this includes two 50minute games, all equipment, training and light refreshments teams 8 /12 players. 12 to 16year must be accompanied by adult players. for further details telephone 01 825 722 443.spectators welcome.

Newick Healthy Walks: dates for the April walks are WEDNESDAY 13th and 27th, the walk commences on THE GREEN opposite the BULL INNAT 10.30am. the walk last for 1 hour, the is no charge no need to book, just turn up and enjoy a country walk.
