Can you put a date to this street scene?

Station Road, Burgess Hill. nostalgia.

Station Road, Burgess Hill. nostalgia.

This picture is one of several we shall be featuring in the next few weeks brought in to the Middy office by Mary Tucker, of America Lane, Haywards Heath.

One of Mrs Tucker’s daughters, who lives at Franklands Village, found them while clearing out and it is thought they belonged to her husband’s grandmother.

Some will be familiar, but others might present fresh images of times long past for some readers.

This image shows Station Road in Burgess Hill.

There is no date on the photo so we cannot say when it was taken. Although there seems to be a horse and carriage in the road and also street lamps and possible a telephone line.

Do you know when this photo was taken? If so send a letter to our offices in South Road or email middy.news@sussexnewspapers.co.uk

We have received many letters of your memories in relation to our memory lane pieces.

If you have a photo you would like to share with the Middy email a jpg image to middy.news@sussexnewspapers.co.uk

Or you can drop it into our office in South Road in Haywards Heath.
