A luxury cat hotel in Mid Sussex is to open in a matter of weeks.
Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel submitted a planning applcation back in October 2012 for the seven bespoke cat suites to form Longcroft Haywards Heath in Scaynes Hill Road.
The new hotel will be run by Debbie Carrington and her husband Marcus.
Debbie and Marcus already have two Ragdolls cats Bubs and Bebe and they are excited about fulfilling their dream to run their own cat hotel.
Debbie said: “Growing up with cats has always been a big part of our lives. We can’t wait to get to know our guests and to spend time with them, finding out their likes and dislikes.”
Inside the luxury hotel cats will be able to enjoy wrought iron design cat beds, soft pillows and an ‘A la Cat’ menu served on bone china, along with mood music and personal grooming sessions.
Debbie said: “Leaving a much-loved cat for whatever reason, because of a holiday or having renovation work done at home, can be really distressing. We can put an owner’s mind at rest that their pet is being well looked after, pampered and loved while they are away.”
Founder and owner of Longcroft Abi Purser previously told the Middy: “I love Haywards Heath, the area, the people. There is a community feel and I think the business will do well there.”
The hotel will be officially opened on Saturday, May 11, by the Mayor of Haywards Heath, Cllr John Sabin, at 2pm.
Cat owners are invited to come along and join in the celebrations, which will end at 4pm, and look around the hotel.
Abi Purser and Debbie will both be on hand to answer any questions. A raffle will also be held in aid of the local branch of Cats Protection.
