A man who collapsed in Victoria Park in South Road today (February 27) was ‘unresponsive’.

A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: “Police were called at 1.40pm on Friday, 27 February to reports of a man who had collapsed and was unresponsive in Victoria Park, South Road, Haywards Heath.

“Police attended to support paramedics who are currently treating the individual.”

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) said: “We were called just before 1.45pm to a report of a male collapsed and unconscious. We sent a car to the scene and were joined by an ambulance crew. The patient had recently been transferred by ambulance to the Princess Royal Hospital.”
