Police have launched an investigation after a man was ‘forced into a vehicle and driven away’.

Sussex Police said three men were involved in an altercation just before 10pm on Monday (May 25) in Rona Close, Broadfield.

Police believe a man may have been forced into a vehicle, possibly a Silver BMW, before being driven away.

Detective Inspector Rachel Carr said: “We need to find out who the man is and need to speak to him in order to establish that he is safe and well. Any information that can assist us with our enquiries is welcomed. The vehicle will be distinctive as it had damage to the front windscreen”.

“Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries and we are treating this as a serious incident. I am appealing for anyone who might know who was in the car, or where they could be, to contact us.

“Anyone with information should call 101 quoting Operation Caesar or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
