A Burgess Hill restaurant is celebrating after being given a best customer service award for Sussex.

Flavour in Keymer Road, Burgess Hill opened just four years ago in 2009 in what proprietor/manager Mustak Miah described as the very worst of all time in terms of the economy and recession.



But he said: “We managed to keep going and thanks to all our customers who supported us and have become good friends.”

The shop premises in Keymer Road was home to an estate agent and was completely transformed to the Indian restaurant that is now Flavour.

Now, after being named a Best Business Awards Winner in 2012 for Best Customer Focus and the Bright Awards Winner 2010 for Best New Business, the restaurant is celebrating another accolade.

This time it has won the Best of the Best Business Awards 2013/14 Best Customer Service-Sussex award with acknowledgement for its ‘consistently good’ food and its customer service.

Mr Miah said a big ‘thank you’ goes to all his staff who works exceptionally hard and also to Best of the Best Business Awards team for the recognition.

Commenting on the award to Flavour, the chairman of the judges said: “Flavour stands out not only in terms of the cuisine but also the attention to detail and quality of service delivered to customers.

“The overall customer experience is positive from the moment a customer walks through the door in terms of a warm welcome, inviting décor and a willingness to go that extra mile.

“The level of repeat business is testament to this and the power of positive word of mouth.

“Flavour proves that it is possible to stand out in the crowded local Indian restaurant scene.”
