Bingo Night: Calling Anne and Harry, your presence is required on Sunday 5 June for the next fabulous Scaynes Hill Bingo Night. The Bingo will start at 7.30 pm at Scaynes Hill Club, Church Road (opposite the common). New Bingo members are always welcome.

Karaoke Night: There will be another fantastic Karaoke Night on Saturday 4 June at Scaynes Hill Club. The wailing, sorry I mean the singing, will start at 8.30pm with the ever magnificent Nick Brayne in charge of proceedings.

St Augustine’s Church: The Queen’s Birthday. In June there will be lots of events throughout the UK to mark HM the Queen’s 90th birthday. There will be a grand street party in The Mall but as there won’t be room for us all the Queen has asked local communities to create their own celebrations. St Augustine’s Church is planning a celebration service on Sunday 12th June at 10.00 am, which will be followed by sparkling refreshments. The children will have their own celebrations in the afternoon at Family Fun Church. We are hoping everyone will join in with the spirit of the occasion. More details will follow soon.

Scaynes Hill Football Club: Congratulations to Scaynes Hill First Team for coming top of their league. Thanks also to all the lads for giving us a great night at the club where they held their Awards Night. Well done to all the winners.

Scaynes Hill Village Club: We really are spoilt for choice in Scaynes Hill. For those of you that don’t already know the village also has a very active social club based down Church Road opposite the common. It is a members club but membership is very reasonable and gives its members access to all the club’s facilities, including a Snooker Room.

WI: If you have ever wondered about the WI but always thought it may not be for you ... Think again!

They are a friendly group of ladies from all ages and backgrounds who all have different interests and abilities. Some of them even make jam!!! They would love to welcome you to join them. They meet at 2.00pm every second Wednesday of the month and every fourth Wednesday for a craft afternoon, where all abilities are welcome to go along and enjoy an informal few hours, a cup of tea, a chat and some craft.
