Books live on for Chernobyl’s children
Mid Sussex Friends of Chernobyl’s Children held at Book Swap at the Mardindale Centre in Horsted Keynes last week.
Hundreds of books changed hands, raising funds for FOCC which brings children from the hinterlands of the dessimated Chernobyl nuclear reactor to Sussex for a month-long holiday every year for five years.
The children, who come from disadvantaged families, live with on-going nuclear pollution plus chemical pollution from factories all around them.
