Balcombe

SUPERSTARS: is coming up with the first event on Sunday 1 May. Last year over 50 people competed and is a great way to meet new people in the village and enjoy gentle competition that thrives on fun, sportsmanship and friendship. 17 events take place around the village using all of our sporting amenities. Your highest scores recorded in 13 events are counted. The events and entry categories are as diverse as possible to allow any entrant a fair chance of winning one of the trophies. Events include: badminton, rowing, bowling , skittles, football dribbling , basketball shooting , tennis and table tennis, and target shooting at the village rifle range. There are special events to challenge the children too, including the hotly contested slow bike race, where the slowest is the winner! Superstars is an excellent way of introducing yourselves to new sports and to try the facilities and clubs around the village, where members will be on hand to help you, whether you are a novice or a seasoned player. Collect your forms for entry from Balcombe Stores or Threads or call John Greetham 819271, or Paul Nolan on 811008. £5 adults, £4 under 15s, min age 7, no upper limit. Entry forms back as soon as possible please.
