The residents of Forest View, Burgess Hill were treated to an Easter Hat Parade from children at neighbouring Southway Junior School.

The school holds an annual egg-stravaganza competition where children are able to make Easter hats and perform in an Easter Hat Parade. Children also make models using eggs, depicting a scene from their favourite film, TV programme or anything else which inspires them.

The Easter hat competition winners were judged by a panel of teaching assistants and administration staff from the school. Following their success on the catwalk, they took their creations to Forest View to meet the residents. Among the residents who admired their creations was Mr Fred Hockey who at 101 years old, is Forest View’s oldest resident. Grace Goodenough and Amy Read from Southway Junior School had the privilege of meeting Fred.
