Parish Council As I mentioned earlier this month, there is no Parish Council meeting this month but the Planning Committee are due to meet in the Pavilion this evening at 7.30 pm; details of the agenda will be posted on the notice board outside the Spar Shop and should be available on the Council's website, www.slaughampc.co.uk. As usual, there will be an opportunity to raise any questions or concerns about any of the applications listed for discussion early in the meeting.

Community bus trips: I have mentioned previously two of the Community Bus trips, the first being on Saturday, 3 September to the Wey and Arun Canal for lunch and a boat trip. This is fully booked but a second list has been started and if there is enough interest another trip will be booked. The second one is on also on a Saturday, Saturday 8 October to Sheffield Park for lunch/picnic followed by a trip on the Bluebell Railway to East Grinstead and back. As with the October trip, this is also fully booked with a second list started to see if there is enough interest for a second trip. If you would like to put your name down for either of these, please speak to Christina in the Hardware Shop or call her on 400212. There are other trips planned in both months, on 17 September there is the trip to the Isle of Wight and on 25 October the Bus will be going to Haskins Snowhill Garden Centre if you don’t want to miss out on a day out. Full details of these, along with all the trips planned for the rest of the year (the last trip is on 15 December to Canterbury for the Christmas Market in Whitefriars Square) can be found on the notice board by the bus stop outside the Hardware Shop or call in and speak to Christina as mentioned above.
