Newick Country Market: will be open from 10 to 11am on Friday morning in the Village Hall.

Newick Cricket Club: first Sunday game is on Sunday 24th when Waldron will come to Newick for a home fixture the game will commence at 1pm

The Under 12 fixture this week is away to Burgess Hill, the Under 14 first game is away to Keymer both of this junior fixtures will commence at 6pm

Services: this Sunday at St. Mary’s Church are Holy Communion at 8am followed by Family Communion at 9.30am, everyone will be ,ade most welcome

Church: Just to reminder you that on Monday 28th the Annual Parochial Church Meeting will take place in the Barn Centre at 7.30pm

Newick Horticultural Society: held their Spring Show . Despite the bad weather there were many good entries as always well supported. he winners were as follows; The Caldwell Challenge Cup was awarded to Pat Pioli for the Exhibitor gaining the highest number of points in the classes (Flower arrangements). Humphry Cup was awarded to David Faulke for the best exhibit in the Show. This class 25- David’s vibrant painting of The Lady in Red. The Robertson Challenge Cup was also awarded to David Faulke for the highest number of points in classes 1 to 10 )Spring Flowers), The Gilbert Styles Cup awarded to the exhibitor gaining the highest points in classes 25 to 28 Clive Maxwell. The Newick WI Cup was warded to Brenda Izzard for the highest points in classes 22,23 & 24 (Cookery). The Newick Horticultural Cup awarded to the child with the highest numbers of points Megan Quick. The Bill & Enid Holmes Cup warded for the best exhibit in the junior section .This year class 33 (A garden on a Dinner Plate) Emily Izzard. Well done everyone.

WI: Also the Newick Green WI meeting is on 28th in the Community Centre at 7.45pm the speaker is Andrew Glaysher his subject being “Know your Jewellery” visitors welcome.
