On Sunday Handcross Parish Hall was the location for photographers from across Sussex to meet and shoot an event hosted by Richard Paice Photography.
The event was open to anyone with an interest in photography and especially those who wanted to shoot something different. The theme was fairy-tale wicked witches and local talent was brought in from across Sussex.
To make the models look dramatic, Emma Skelton and Louise Clarke both professional make-up artists and regulars with Richard transformed the girls into beautiful witches.
Hair styling was thanks to Emily Bunclark, who is herself a known model regularly featuring in Brighton and the prestigious London fashion week. To assist the less experienced photographers help was sought from professionals Martin Kulin, Andy Paul and Dade Freeman. Each pro photographer had a lighting setup and instructed people in how to make best use of their own camera when using the equipment. The ladies were dressed in gloriously outrageous gowns supplied by prom dress outlet run by Karen Thomas ‘Frocks that Rock’ in Burgess Hill.
The more adventurous designs by were by 15 year old Isaac Raymond. Isaac from Hurstpeirpoint has had his designs on many catwalks as is seen as an up and coming star in the fashion industry.
After just a few minutes of people arriving and being shown around the hall and introduced to everyone the the lighting rigs started to fire up.
It was pretty much non stop action as model after model rotated round the hall and everyone took turns to shoot. Of course with all this photography talent in one place it was a great time to get some updated personal shots for social media too !
Richard is already planning the next group shoot and will be featuring local dancers.
