Saltworkz Café in Haywards Heath has begun a new weekly drop-in for young people aged 12 to 18 every Wednesday between 6pm and 8pm.

There is food and drink available from a special menu and the option to join in various activities. It is designed to be youth-led with no strict programme with youngsters able to stay as long as they like.

The youth café is sponsored by local housing association Affinity Sutton and Think Family (West Sussex County Council).

Graham Nicholls, Trustee of Saltworkz Café, commented: “We are grateful for the strong partnership with Affinity Sutton and Think Family in supporting this venture. We trust that it will continue the work of improving lives and building stronger relationships and trust in our community.”

Saltworkz is a Christian charity working to demonstrate the Christian message by running the café, offering help and arranging community activities with a particular focus on the Bentswood area of Haywards Heath. They were a founding member of the Bentswood Community Partnership. For further information please email ask@saltworkz.org
