Coffee mornings for charity held at Argos

Staff at Argos in The Martlets Shopping Centre, Burgess Hill were delighted to recently raise £140 for Macmillan Cancer Support thanks to two Macmillan Coffee Mornings held on Wednesday 22nd and Saturday 25th April.

Local residents visited the store in order to enjoy refreshing teas and coffees in exchange for donations towards Argos’ recent charity partnership, Macmillan Cancer Support. .

Sweet-toothed visitors were also able to tuck into delicious cakes kindly donated by Martlets’ tenant, Walkway café as well as other sweet treats baked by Argos’ staff themselves.

All funds raised from the charity mornings will go towards continuing Macmillan Cancer Support’s vital work and research.

Ian Goodridge, Centre Manager of The Martlets Shopping Centre, commented: “We were delighted that Argos hosted such successful coffee mornings for our shoppers. I am sure they are thrilled with the amount raised.

“Thank you to everyone who donated during the mornings and I look forward to even more fundraising events taking place in the near future.”
