The free lunch time concert: in Holy Trinity Church on Friday 7th April will feature mezzo soprano, Rebecca Milford with Phillip Sear, piano. Soup will be served from 12.30 and the concert is from 1.00 until 2.00.
Easter Sunday Hero 1917’: Cuckfield Museum’s new display remembers the heroism of the verger, Alfred Browne, who put out a fire in the church tower during the Easter Sunday service of 1917 and averted disaster. Awarded a gold watch in thanks but he lies in an unmarked grave in the churchyard. Display on until the end of May. Our very popular costume exhibition, ‘From Boots to Bustles’ also on till the beginning of June.
Museum Closure: Cuckfield museum will be closed between April 10th - 21st (reopening on 22nd) while building work is carried out in the Queen’s Hall, otherwise the opening hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10-12.30 and Saturday 10-3.00. More details from www.cuckfieldmuseum.org
