Cats Protection’s National Cat Adoption Centre will be playing host to a great line-up of events at its Summer Fun Day on Sunday July 17.
The centre, in Lewes Road, Chelwood Gate, will be opening its doors from 10am until 4pm for a fun-packed day for all the family.
Entry is free, but a can of Felix cat food or a cat toy will be gratefully received and will help care for cats at the centre.
Attractions will include a live band, beer tent, barbecue, birds of prey display, stalls, raffle, tombola and a visit from the fire brigade.
Children will be kept amused with an exciting array of games and activities including face painting and inflatable slide.
Visitors will also be able to get a glimpse of what happens at the UK’s largest cat rehoming centre with a behind-the-scenes guided tour.
Large marquees will ensure the fun goes ahead whatever the weather and visitors can take a break from the excitement to enjoy a tranquil stroll in the centre’s nature trail, set in the heart of the Ashdown Forest.
Visitors are also always welcome to pop in to say hello to the 150 cats and kittens cuurrently in their care.
