Hassocks Bike’n’Fun returns on Sunday 28 June! Come along with friends, family and children, whatever their ages or cycling abilities.
The just-for-fun local community event includes a choice of a four-mile or an eight-mile circular cycle ride, with refreshments along the routes courtesy of Knight’s Budgens, and a post-ride barbecue at the Hassocks pub.
Event mascot Charlie Rabbit will get the ride under way from the Hassocks pub next to Hassocks railway station between 10.30am and 11am (registration from 9.30am).
There will be the chance to win great prizes including a child’s mountain bike courtesy of Hassocks Cycle Centre at South Downs Nursery & Garden Centre, and a month’s subscription to Hassocks Freedom Leisure Centre.
The shorter ride will go via Oldland Mill (open for the event until 1pm) and Ditchling, then straight back to the Hassocks pub. The longer ride continues from Ditchling via Underhill Lane to Hurstpierpoint and then back to the Hassocks pub. There is a small entry fee per cyclist. Pick up an application form from Orion News in Hassocks or just turn up on the day. See and ‘like’ the Hassocks Bike’n’Fun Facebook page for updates.
