Don’t forget: the Parish Council meets in the Pavilion this evening, Thursday 30 March, from 7.30 pm. The agenda should be up on the notice board outside the Spar Shop and a copy available to be downloaded from the Council’s website www.slaughampc.co.uk; if you have problems with the latter, get in touch with Sally Mclean, the Parish Clerk at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01403 733881. If you have any questions or queries regarding any item on the agenda, there will be an opportunity to raise them early in the meeting. Once again, I would remind you that the Planning Committee no longer meets on the same evening as the full Council, it is early in the month, either the first or second Thursday in the month; keep an eye in the notice board outside the Spar Shop when the agenda will be posted to see when the meeting will be.
If you are into your crafts: or would like to learn more or just meet with likeminded people, the next Craft Night at the Hardware Store (Upper Room) is on Wednesday, 5 April from 8 pm. These evenings are open to everyone, regardless of age or ability, and if I recall correctly, there might be a minimum charge of approximately £2 to cover the cost of the refreshments that are offered. So why not tear yourself away from the TV for the night and get crafting!
Finally: another reminder about the exhibition the Neighbourhood Planning Committee is putting on at the Pavilion on Friday, 7 April between 6 and 9 pm and then on Saturday, 8 April between 10 am and 2 pm. I am aware of some rumours going around the village about possible developments and whilst I cannot say if this is true or not, getting our Plan through the remaining processes and procedures to the stage where we can vote on it and then get it adopted, is all the more important! Please do go along next weekend and see what I am continuously going on about, and get your family, friends and neighbours to go too!
