We had a very exciting week at St Giles CE Primary, Horsted Keynes when we held our Enrichment Week just before half term.

The theme was “Fit, Healthy and Active” and all the pupils in the school were involved. There was a range of physical activities including pilates, outdoor circuits and aerobics and Taekwondo.

Pupils were involved in cooking a range of food including lunch for all of the pupils in Key Stage One and cakes for the Village Coffee morning (Year 3). We also participated in a Jump Rope fundraising activity and raised £170 for the British Heart Foundation.

Headteacher Joanna Francis said: “ This has been a fantastic Enrichment Week to celebrate being fit, active and healthy! The children have been involved in a range of cooking activities developing their skills. This is an important aspect to the Technology we teach in school as part of the new curriculum. During the week we have also extended out to the community visiting a Toddler group in the village and serving coffee and our own homemade cakes at the weekly village morning.”
