reMEmber, the Mid Sussex charity for people with ME is having a sponsored walk from Clayton Windmills to Ditchling Beacon and back on Sunday July 3 starting at 10.30am.

Bill Kent MBE, Secretary of reMEmber, says: “This walk is only about 10 kilometres – so you don’t have to be an athlete to take part. Why not come and join us? It will be a fun event, and children and dogs are welcome.

“Get your friends and colleagues to sponsor you and raise money for a good cause. We are currently campaigning for a proper medical service for children in Sussex who have this debilitating long term illness – there isn’t one at present.

“We are also raising money for Dr Amolak Bansal to help his research into what causes ME, which will lead eventually to a cure.”

Bill goes on: “Sponsor forms are available from reMEmber. Or you can sponsor me if you wish – I’m doing the walk to celebrate my 77th birthday.

“And you can join us for lunch in the Jack and Jill pub afterwards if you wish. Contact details are Bill Kent, reMEmber, PO Box 1647, Hassocks, BN6 9GQ, tel 01273 831733, e-mail me_cfs@hotmail.com Or you can sponsor me online by going to www.justgiving.com/Bill Kent”
