Strictly Dance Magic hold monthly ballroom dances at The Martlets Hall and Burgess Hill School for Girls.

From raffle profits, they were pleased to present Windmills Opportunity Playgroup in Burgess Hill with a cheque for £275. Children and staff at Windmills gave David and Ruth from Strictly Dance Magic and all the dancers, a big thank you.

Windmills Opportunity Playgroup started in April 1984, as a playgroup for children with additional needs. Over recent years, with the change to government policy to be inclusive, they now take both mainstream children and those with additional needs. This means they can still utilize their specialist skills, which they have built up over the years.

They received a generous donation a couple of years ago that enabled them to install a much needed sensory room, which the children refer to as ‘The Magic Room’. As a charity and a playgroup, that has a higher than required by Ofsted staff to child ratio, they rely heavily on grants, donations and fundraising to meet their costs. Donations such as these help allow them to continue to offer the local community their much needed playgroup.
